This last week was rather nerve wrecking as we were told to present our project to the executive committee! :( We had to review our report over and over again to ensure that everything was correct. Also, we prepared our presentation numerous times to ensure that everything would go smoothly. To me, Singapore Polytechnic has already inculcated these skills and knowledge in presentations and it was quite the norm as per other presentation modules. These skills and knowledge are really valuable and essential in this 21st century society.
After the presentation, the CEO gave us his opinions and views on the project and the system. Through his comments, we were able to observe how a proposal is being assessed by a company's management. I felt that these were the real important tips to pick up instead of the presentation itself.
As with Singapore Polytechnic's framework of CDIO ( Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate), we were able to carry out the first 3 stages of this framework in this project. We first conceived and gathered information and knowledge regarding the CGH mattress rental process. Thereafter, we went on to design the system through defining the problems. We then implemented the new system by coming out with the mobile application design as well as the new mattress rental process flowchart.
To me, this project has been a meaningful and contributive one. We felt that we were really doing something for the company and the sense of satisfaction and appreciation is amazing.
Below are some of the presentation slides that we have done.
